Everything is Backwards (Part 2)
Let’s take a look at some foundational aspects of our society that make it what it is today. As you know everything is based on profits in our world, even
at the expense of our environment and our
own health.

Profit is what everybody is seeking, and scarcity is what raises prices according to the basic concept of supply and demand. Because of this we will
never see the true and most honest prices in our marketplace today. An example from Ron Paul’s latest book The Revolution: A Manifesto is the import
on sugar into the United States. The government has a set import limit of sugar into the United States, making the cost rise significantly. Because of this,
companies like Coca-Cola use corn syrup in their beverages instead of sugar; and this is why some people enjoy the taste of soft-drinks in Canada more
than in the U.S.
Another thing that is backwards in today’s society is the fact that efficiency and sustainability are the enemies
of our money-hungry corporations. Cars have many parts that need to be fixed and are built to break down,
simply to feed the multi-billion dollar auto industry. The fact that most people are completely dependent on
this system leaves little room for improving the efficiency or longevity of
products. If we produced cars as
advanced as we
are capable of producing, there would be little to no need for the auto-repair industry.
Likewise, the fact that pharmaceutical companies profit from us being sick and buying their pills and
ointments, they have huge incentives to make people
sick in order to sell their products. And so, they don’t provide cures, only temporary solutions that may even harm you to keep you coming back for more.
Think about this for a second if you will:
Say you’ve got a job in a factory... What has always been one of the biggest fears of factory workers? A new robot built to replace jobs.
This is absolutely backwards thinking and let me tell you why. In a society where we are not forced to compete for resources at the expense of another, to
have a robot do your job for you would be a blessing!
Here’s another one to think about:
Picture what life would be like if you and 20 of your closest friends and family set out to live together in a large meadow. From the moment you arrive,
everybody would be working together to help eachother. You
would
dig wells together, build homes together and grow food together until everything is set
up. From there
you would work together on advancing your technology to benefit everybody, creating electronics and robotics
to take over your everyday
jobs and change your society from survival to luxury.
Somewhere along the line we have been convinced to fight and compete against our fellow man, and as we all know - a species at war with itself is
doomed.
Living at peace is the ideal way of life for us on earth, and The Freedom Manual is the blueprint for the transition from our current structure to a new and better way of living for all; eliminating starvation, malnutrition, homelessness and disease.
